HOSTING IN CANADA IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE HIGHEST STANDARDS
Your data is stored on our servers where our disks are encrypted to the AES-256 standard, also used by banks in order to secure their customers’ data.
Our devices are hosted in the safest colocation centres in Canada: N + 1 redundant power supply, N + 1 redundant cooling units, fire prevention system, secure access with two-step identification and separately locked cabinets.
SECURE TRANSFERS
Upon uploading, downloading or sharing through DOCURIUM, your files are forwarded to and from our servers via a secure channel using the 4096-bits SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption coding method, presently the highest standard with respect to secure https Internet connection.
Data transfers for replication between our hosting centres are achieved through a dedicated EPVL (Ethernet Virtual Private Line) circuit. The service provider, a Canadian company, undertook by contract to deliver EVPL services through a Canadian network infrastructure.
DATA REPLICATION
DOCURIUM maintains copies of your data on two sites located at 500 km or more of each other in Canada. Data replication between those two sites occurs within minutes of each other, thus ensuring the highest possible availability. In the event of a failure of the main site, which is highly unlikely, our services will quickly be redirected to our backup site in a transparent fashion for users.
DOCURIUM also automatically and regularly makes backup copies in order to restore normal service after a disaster.
DATA RETRIEVAL BY USERS
DOCURIUM enables you to maintain a synchronized local copy or to recover at all times a copy of your data through the syncing application. Transferring data from one account to another in order to achieve a complete control over your documentation is also possible.
INCLUSION OF YOUR ENCRYTION METHODS
DOCURIUM encrypts your files, in addition to managing encryption keys. You may also increase the security level of specific files with your own keys, in which case we will no longer have direct access to your data within the application.

RESTRICTED ACCESS
DOCURIUM employees do not have access to user passwords. Any access to a user account by a DOCURIUM employee for support purposes shall first be authorized in writing.
Each DOCURIUM employee signs a confidentiality agreement and is governed by an ethical code. Our policies and access controls are stringent and access to data by our employees is forbidden thereunder, except in rare instances.
